Job Title
Safety Technician
Overview
The EH&S Specialist plays a pivotal role in leading safety at assigned regional facilities for the Columbus Plant. This role is essential for ensuring that day-to-day environmental compliance activities are effectively executed by plant personnel at Columbus. Additionally, the specialist will assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and initiatives, including Process Hazard Analysis, Combustible Dust, Contractor Safety, and Behavior-Based Safety. The position provides both leadership and tactical support to the Environmental, Health and Safety programs at the Columbus manufacturing location.
Responsibilities
Ensure local legislative compliance and develop ISO systems.
Cultivate an autonomous EHS culture and promote Health and Wellness programs.
Define EHS standard operating procedures and provide EHS training.
Develop risk identification and reduction awareness and methods.
Lead strategic guidance from both the central EHS function and local plant manager.
Engage employees in EHS initiatives and promote participation.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in chemical safety procedures and safety management.
Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or equivalent from a four-year college or university.
5-7 years of relevant experience.
Work Environment
The role is based in the Columbus manufacturing location. It involves working closely with plant personnel to ensure compliance and effective safety management, utilizing both leadership and hands-on approaches.

This is a Permanent position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $98000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
