Business Development Manager
We are looking for a BD Manager to play a pivotal role in driving eBay’s position across all focus categories — Fashion, Luxury, Collectibles, Trading Cards, Hard Goods, and Emerging Verticals.
The role is responsible for building, leading and delivering the end‑to‑end acquisition pipeline to optimize the selection of brands and inventory on the eBay platform for customers.

What You Will Accomplish
This role will identify targets and establish a network of contacts for both the short‑term and long‑term acquisition of new businesses for eBay. By running a significant sales pipeline, it will provide a constant stream of new inventory to customers through promotional cycles and deliver on a range of critical metrics and success measures.
It will also work with newly onboarded brands and sellers to ensure they are ready to trade, optimizing the full trading capability of the platform. The role will build and expand partnerships with marketplace agencies and service providers lacking a presence on eBay to further drive seller and inventory acquisition and grow the eBay business.
Constantly innovating, the manager will develop an operating model that evolves with the market, while building the team’s execution and operational capability to drive procedural change and business performance.
Success Measures
Revenue, customer and operationally led focus
GMV target for new brands, sellers and inventory
Target list to fix inventory gaps and broaden brand coverage
Establishment of a broader partner network to support the end‑to‑end acquisition pipeline
Deliver ROI on commercial agreements with associated partners
What You Will Bring
eCommerce & Marketplaces knowledge: validated background and understanding of marketplaces/platforms and the resale market, competitors and supporting businesses (listing management, integrators, logistics, customer services). Must have a clear point of view on requirements for partner success.
New business & commercial expertise: experience developing new business for a large organization, having worked with e‑commerce commercial teams and consistently delivered results even under challenging circumstances.
Relationship management: ability to build and sustain relationships across all functions and levels internally, ensuring flawless integration and detailed execution of plans, and applying influencing and negotiation skills with external businesses.
Strategic & Analytical orientation: a keen analytical problem solver who sifts through details, puts complex ideas into clear frameworks, insists on proof in data, and uses data to drive innovation and decisions.
Compensation & Benefits
The base pay range for this position is $92,800 - $160,200. Compensation may vary based on location, skills, and experience and can include a target bonus, restricted stock units, medical, financial and other benefits (including 401(k), PTO, and parental leave). If hired, employees will be in an at‑will position and the company reserves the right to modify compensation at any time.
