Job Description
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician at Lyon Place in Arlington, VA. Under the direction of the Chief Engineer, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the property and providing superior customer service to all residents.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in maintaining the property: processing all resident service requests in a timely manner, performing preventative maintenance duties and unit inspections, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, carpentry and painting; and performing turnovers and renovation of apartments.
Attendance is essential to this position. The community is open 24/7, weekend work or overnight hours may be expected.
Requirements
As a Maintenance Technician you will need three to five (3-5) years of engineering experience with strong customer service skills and a high school diploma. You must be able to lift (60 lbs.) and safely move appliances, be comfortable working with heights up to 25 feet, experience in multifamily or hospitality environments preferred, but not required.
