Super Radiator Coils is a family-owned and growing engineering and manufacturing company that has locations across the country in Richmond, Virginia; Chaska, Minnesota; Louisville, Kentucky; Phoenix, Arizona and Mesa, Arizona. We have been operating in Chesterfield County since 1980. We are seeking a Corporate Accountant to join our team and work directly with the Corporate Controller, Assistant Corporate Controller, CFO and others on the accounting team to ultimately ensure the company financials are accurate. While this position will be sitting near the Corporate Controller and CFO in Richmond, Virginia, they will work closely with accountants and VPs in any of our locations.
A Corporate Accountant oversees complex accounting tasks, ensures the accuracy of financial records, and supports strategic financial decision‑making. This role often serves as a bridge between junior accounting staff and upper management, providing both technical expertise and leadership

Specific Job Duties

Provide accounting support for projects such as all things Capital. This includes depreciation budgeting, managing monthly additions and disposals as well as performing necessary audits to be sure our records are accurate.
Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
Assist with the management of the General Ledger, inventory/COGS reconciliation and financial analysis.
Manage and review general ledger entries.
Perform and review account reconciliations, including bank, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts.
Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Assist with maintaining accuracy of company bank accounts and loans
Assist with maintaining accuracy of other bank transactions Interest/Swap calculations and hedge contracts.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Support internal and external audits by providing schedules and documentation.
Assist with tax filings including sales/use tax.
Assist with R&D reporting.
Maintain records, companywide, on leases to accurately report on our financials.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to make the organization more efficient.
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows and strengthen internal controls.
Support ERP enhancements and ensure data integrity across manufacturing modules.
Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting.
Assist with other miscellaneous items within the accounting and administration area. These projects could include completing annual censuses, managing fraud control, etc.
Qualified Candidates demonstrate the following skills & experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or finance.
2-4 years’ experience with Accounting. Preferably in the manufacturing industry but not required.
Computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office programs (ie Excel)
Basic understanding of GAAP.
Experience with tax filings or sales/use tax.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Comfortable asking for help from outside experts when needed
Basic understanding of various costing methods, inventory accounting, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, Infor).
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environments.
Prior experience supporting multiple plants or a multi‑site operation.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to communicate financial concepts to non‑finance teams
Problem‑solving mindset with a focus on operational efficiency
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
High integrity and commitment to confidentiality
