The Mission offers three full meals daily and overnight accommodations for men, women, and children. It operates solely through the generosity of the community, without any government funding. The organization is dedicated to offering hope and support to those seeking to rebuild their lives.
Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role located in Youngstown, OH, for a Development Coordinator. The Development Coordinator will assist with organizing and executing fundraising initiatives, helping with donor relationships, and supporting the Mission’s communication strategies. Responsibilities include project assistance of development activities, ensuring consistent donor communication, and supporting outreach efforts to promote the Mission and its goals. In this role, you will also collaborate with team members to track and manage contributions and donor engagement.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Communication and comfortable updating written copy for thank you letters
Experience with Customer Service and building donor relationships
Proficiency in Project Management and organizational skills
Willingness to learn Fundraising and donor engagement
Ability to work collaboratively and independently
Passion for nonprofit work and supporting individuals in need
Ability to learn donor management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
Position is weekdays and part-time 20 - 24 hours weekly. Schedule is spread over 3 or 4 days starting at 8am.
