
Warehouse Associate Union - Night Shift (NJ)

$21.90 + shift differential + increase every 6 months, up to $26.62. Sun-Thu 5:00p - 1:30am or finished, up to 2 hours/day OT.
Summary
Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.
Essential Duties
Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
Load Merchandise into appropriate truck.
Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots.
Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.
Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.
Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”.
Identify and report slot and put-away problems.
Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.
Performs house keeping duties as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker.
Lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift.
Bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time.
Successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements.
Operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices.
Work Environment
Job is performed in a warehouse/operations environment.
Frequently exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment or other mechanical equipment.
This is a full-time position.
Must have the ability to work a varying schedule which might include shift work (days or nights), weekdays or weekends, and some holidays.
Work hours may vary or change based on customer orders, departmental or business requirements.
The position does not require travel.
Qualifications
Required
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must pass a functional capacity test.
Preferred
Knowledge of SAP.
1+ year warehouse experience.
Previous forklift certification.
Material handling equipment experience.
Reach truck experience.
