
Warehouse VAS Associate

Position Description : Ryder is hiring Permanent Full Time Warehouse Associates in Jeffersonville, IN. This role supports distribution across the US. The associate works in a safe supply chain environment with state‑of‑the‑art equipment, handling tools and using pallet jacks.
Compensation
Hourly Pay: $18.79 per hour

Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Six months of related warehouse experience required; one year or more preferred
Operate powered industrial trucks (stand‑up/sit‑down forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks) and maintain equipment such as battery changes; intermediate skill required
Possibly operate manual or automated equipment (e.g., packaging line); intermediate preferred
Powered industrial truck certification
Read and use basic English math for safety, work instructions, and policies
Lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
Input data into the WMS computer system
Work overtime as assigned
Build and maintain professional relationships at all levels
Work both independently and as part of a team
Self‑driven, flexible, and able to excel in a fast‑paced environment
Multi‑task and highly organized, with excellent time‑management and follow‑up skills
Responsibilities
Package, kit, and assemble orders and materials
Load and unload inbound/outbound trailers, ensure accurate scanning, train dock employees on new procedures, secure facility at shift end, investigate/resolve scanning issues and housekeeping
Perform picking and packing duties; verify product or container damage
Perform tasks in accordance with site policies, handling materials within associated logical transactions
Execute material moves as required
Participate in workgroup and other team activities for self‑improvement and process improvement
Maintain housekeeping duties for assigned area
Perform additional duties as assigned
