Job Purpose
To provide accurate, consistent, and timely accounting and financial reporting support to corporate management by applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls. This role supports period‑end close, internal and external financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting activities under the direction of senior financial reporting personnel.
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP (including SEC filings Form 10‑Q, Form 10‑K, 8‑K, and Proxy)
Compile and analyze financial data from SAP and supporting systems for monthly general ledger entries and reporting
Prepare and reconcile equity, environmental, and other balance sheet accounts; investigate and resolve reconciling items timely
Support the period‑end close process, including maintaining SOX‑compliant controls and documentation over financial reporting
Gather and validate ESG data, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Collaborate with environmental and sustainability teams to improve internal reporting and data analysis
Participate in special projects, system enhancements, and process improvement initiatives
Perform other accounting and reporting duties as assigned
Qualifications
0-2 years of accounting experience preferred or any combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position
Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Basic understanding of financial reporting processes and internal controls
Strong attention to detail with basic analytical and problem‑solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet recurring deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to operate a computer and supporting software packages, including SAP and Microsoft Excel
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred but not required
Work Environment
This position will work at home and in our Nashville office on a hybrid schedule
Must live within a commutable distance to Nashville or willing to relocate to the greater Nashville area
