Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing the training and development of staff within a specific department or area. This role typically manages daily training schedules, delivers training modules, assesses competency, and ensures compliance with hospital policies.
Essential Functions
Creating and conducting training courses for new hires and existing staff on clinical procedures, safety protocols, equipment usage, and hospital policies.
Coordinating training sessions, assigning trainers, and ensuring adequate coverage for different shifts.
Evaluating staff performance during training and through practical assessments to verify competency levels.
Maintaining accurate documentation of employee training completion, including dates, scores, and any required re-training.
Collaborating with department managers to identify areas where staff require additional training or skill development.
Ensuring all training programs adhere to relevant healthcare regulations and hospital standards.
Providing initial training for new hires to familiarize them with the hospital environment and job expectations.
Qualifications
Education
Associate’s Degree Related Field of Study required and Bachelor’s Degree Related Field of Study preferred.
Experience
Experience in training, education, or professional development 2-3 years required and Experience in a lead or supervisory role 1-2 years preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong understanding of relevant medical procedures, patient care practices, and healthcare regulations within the assigned department.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to effectively present information, engage trainees, and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
Ability to guide and motivate trainees, providing constructive feedback and addressing performance issues.
Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and build strong relationships with staff at all levels.

Pay Range
$30.60 - $44.51 hourly.
