
Pharmacy Coordinator

Overview
The Pharmacy Coordinator will be responsible for collecting clinical supporting documents needed to care for patients, including laboratory results, signed written orders, assignment of benefits, and ongoing clinical documentation. The coordinator answers incoming phone calls, directs them to the appropriate person, greets all visitors, directs visitors to the appropriate location, and assists with miscellaneous clerical duties.
Shift
On Site, Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm
Responsibilities
Communicates effectively across pharmacy and/or corporate teams and with patients, and successfully resolves issues
Tracks all pharmacy documentation and enters it into the EMR system as necessary
Answers incoming calls
Takes messages and transfers callers to the designated party when applicable
Greets guests
Handles incoming mail
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
1+ year of pharmacy or other healthcare‑related experience preferred
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work with all levels of management and staff, and vast knowledge of pharmacy terminology and process
Ability to multitask in a demanding environment
Excellent organizational skills and mindfulness
Working Conditions
Occasional weekend, evening or night work if needed to ensure shift coverage.
Physical Requirements
Constant sitting, typing on a keyboard, occasionally standing and walking. The role requires the ability to push/pull and lift/carry 21–30 lbs.
