
Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer - Industrial

As a Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineer you will be joining a fun, growing, team of other Instrumentation and Controls Design Engineers, Control System Integration Engineers, and Technicians. Your primary role will be designing instrumentation and control systems for our industrial market. This role will communicate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, teams, subconsultants, clients, vendors, and contractors to learn, implement, and verify control systems are designed and constructed properly. You will be responsible for managing your tasks including instrumentation and control system design, specifications, and drawings. This position may require occasional travel to project sites for meetings, information collection, and construction administration.
Responsibilities
Design instrumentation and control systems for our industrial market.
Communicate and coordinate with other engineering disciplines, teams, subconsultants, clients, vendors, and contractors to learn, implement, and verify control systems are designed and constructed properly.
Manage tasks including instrumentation and control system design, specifications, and drawings.
Select and specify process instrumentation.
Select and specify Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) equipment.
Select and specify networking components and media, including copper, fiber, and wireless hardware.
Develop control system sequences of operations.
Conduct submittal review and field inspections.
Project management.
Perform occasional travel to project sites for meetings, information collection, and construction administration.
Qualifications
Strong communication skills.
Semiconductor experience is a plus.
Ability to contribute and work well on a team.
Associated Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of experience.
FE license preferred.
Attention to detail and passion for detail.
