Job Summary
The Outbound Assistant Managerassiststhe Outbound Manager in overseeing the shipping department of the facility within their respectiveshift, including picking, packing,and indirect positions, focusing on quality,accuracy,and providing excellent customer experience.TheOutbound Assistant Managerworks with the Outbound Manager to collaborate withleadershipon other shifts/departmentsto ensure compliance with allprotocol and SOP’s, problem solving, and meet operational directives.

Operational

Assistswith the management ofthe day-to-day operations within the Outbound department, including Picking, Consolidation, Packing,QA,and other indirect roles. Ensure that the team is consistently focused on achieving a high degree of quality,efficiency,and accuracy to satisfy our customer base.

Train, coach, develop,and hold accountable up toXemployees to achieve operational metrics and satisfy the needs of the distribution center.

Works closely with the Inbound Manager tomonitordaily, weekly, and monthly metrics for the receiving department;identifyand resolve operating issues as needed.

Provide clear and frequent communication to all teamsregardingcompany policies and procedures.

In collaboration with the Outbound Manager, leadweekly and monthly meetings to share information including metrics review, areas of improvement, employee relations issues, and provide updates on any initiatives and related projects.

Assistsin analyzingopportunities for improvement including productivity growth, cost reduction, damage mitigation, and increased process efficiency.

People

Ensure thetimelycompletion of all employee performance reviews and provide frequent and constructive feedback to all team membersin accordance withthe Great Employees Only philosophy.?

Interact with employees regularly to promotea high levelof engagement and ensure all safety regulations are followed.

Promptly complete all admin duties relating to employee management to the expected standard.

Leadership

Collaborate with the leadership team within the building to meet the needs of the DC and foster a team mentality.

Work with theOutbound Manager and Team Leads to create development plans for employees tomaintainengagement and develop a leadership bench.

Maintaina high levelof integrity and honesty, embodying the core values of the company and modeling them for our employees.

Serve as a leader not only for the assigned department, but for the entire distribution center, holding peers,managersandemployeesaccountable to expectations.
