Position Overview
Join us as an
Assistant Manager
at Prime Storage Group, where you’ll be at the heart of our self‑storage facilities. From renting units and trucks to selling merchandise, you’ll dive into a dynamic role filled with customer interactions and property maintenance. As our frontline champion, you’ll craft exceptional customer relationships and elevate your sales and service like never before.
Responsibilities
Rent out self‑storage units, parking spaces, and other related products
Convert telephone and walk‑in inquiries into rentals
Maintain accounts receivables through collections, posting of payments, and processing
Deliver daily bank deposits accurately and timely
Upsell moving products and assist in unit sizing decisions
Greet customers promptly, enthusiastically and professionally
Sell the features and benefits of the property at every opportunity
Resolve customer issues in a timely and effective manner
Ensure company standards of cleanliness and appearance are met
Inspect the property, including performing lock checks
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
1–2 years of relevant work experience in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment
High School Diploma or GED required
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in person and over the phone
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Technically savvy with the ability to learn new applications and Point of Sale systems
Proficiency in Microsoft products such as Outlook required
Physically able to perform routine maintenance duties daily, including walking the property, maintaining cleanliness of bathrooms, office and hallways, weeding, operating power tools, changing light bulbs and other maintenance related duties
Able to lift 50 lbs
Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation
Availability for travel and flexibility to work at various locations
Work/life balance: most facilities close by 6:00 pm and are closed on Sundays
