Overview
Foot Locker is seeking a collaborative and proactive Manager, Internal Communications to help deliver communications that inspire, inform, and connect our workforce. This role plays a key part in shaping how we communicate across the company, supporting understanding of business priorities, reinforcing culture, and contributing to a strong employee experience.
The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller and project leader who can balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution. This role owns key communication initiatives, working closely with the Communications team and cross‑functional partners to ensure high‑quality, consistent delivery across internal channels.
Responsibilities
Write and edit engaging content for internal communication channels, including intranet content, employee emails, newsletters, and other platforms.
Maintain the internal editorial calendar in partnership with Senior Manager, Internal Communications, ensuring initiatives are well‑coordinated, prioritized, and delivered on time.
Manage and optimize internal communication platforms and tools, ensuring content remains relevant, accessible, and aligned to standards.
Develop and execute multichannel internal communication plans for functional or enterprise initiatives, aligned with Foot Locker’s mission, values, and business priorities.
Partner with cross‑functional teams to ensure messaging is clear and consistent, and aligned to business objectives.
Support communication efforts for change, transformation, and employee engagement initiatives.
Use feedback, metrics, and analytics to measure effectiveness and continuously improve messaging and channel performance.
Manage Foot Locker’s LinkedIn presence, including content planning, drafting, and performance tracking.
Project manage internal campaigns and moments that celebrate employees, recognize achievements, and reinforce company culture.
Support in creating and executing communication plans for enterprise‑wide events and initiatives such as Town Halls, Team Weeks, and milestone announcements, in partnership with Senior Manager.
Contribute to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the Internal Communications team.
Champion storytelling that reflects Foot Locker’s heritage, values, and authentic connection to sneaker culture.
Provide guidance and day‑to‑day support to junior team members.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
5-7 years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or employee engagement, ideally within a mid‑to‑large organization.
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate business priorities into clear, engaging messages.
Proven experience leading projects, campaigns, or workstreams from planning through execution.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder‑management skills.
Proficiency with digital communication and employee engagement tools.
Benefits
The annual base salary range is $85,000-$95,000, this range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
