Internal Medicine - Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology
Join Our Team as a Leading Expert in Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated cardiologist to provide exceptional inpatient care at our state-of-the-art facilities, Community Heart and Vascular Hospital and Community Hospital North. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work within a collaborative environment, focusing on advanced heart failure management and VAD support, with minimal involvement in transplantation due to facility limitations. Your expertise will directly impact patient outcomes in a dynamic, fast-paced setting that values excellence and innovation.
Required Skills:
- Board-certified or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease with subspecialty training in Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology
- Valid medical licensure in the appropriate state
- Proven experience with inpatient cardiology rounding, VAD management, and heart failure protocols
- Strong clinical decision-making and critical care skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to support hospitalist services and collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary teams
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with advanced heart failure therapies and devices
- Familiarity with hospital protocols for VADs and heart failure management
- Prior involvement in inpatient or consultative cardiology services
- Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and compliance standards
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years of post-fellowship experience in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology
- Prior work in hospital-based, inpatient settings preferred
Other Requirements:
- Availability of at least 2 weeks per month; open to locum-to-perm arrangements
- Capable of performing VAD procedures; no transplant work at this facility
- Commitment to providing 24/7 in-house hospitalist and critical care coverage
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
