Position Summary
The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. This individual is also responsible for counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership when there are damages or discrepancies. These Associates are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will be expected to perform all duties as assigned. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality and comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Picking Responsibilities:

Use a pallet jack to accurately pick orders and stage appropriately. Stack, package, band, shrink wrap and label products as determined by client requirements. All functions processed per Standard Operating Procedures.

Quality Control Responsibilities:

Use appropriate documentation to ensure products/orders received, handled, shipped correctly. Verify quality standards, report damages/discrepancies, stack, package, shrink wrap, label. Process per SOP.

Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance:

Execute safety protocols, maintain cleanliness and orderliness, comply with SOP, corporate and site policies, safety rules, OSHA/SDS standards.

Equipment Operation:

Operate pallet jack and other equipment safely. Maintain equipment, report problems, follow prescribed work methods. Perform or assist in maintenance of property and equipment.

Other Duties:

Work overtime as dictated by business. Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities
None

Minimum Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse during warmer and colder months from mild to moderate.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Computer Skills:

None

Language Skills:

English (reading, writing, verbal)

Mathematical Skills:

Basic to intermediate level for verifying quantities, counting inventory.

Other:

Strong attention to detail, ability to perform duties with minimal supervision, adaptability to change, thrive in fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

6 months experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment.

Current or prior MHE certification.

Physical Demands

Occasionally: Handling/Fingering, Sitting.

Frequently: Bending.

Constantly: Walking and Standing.

Ability to Lift/Carry and Push/Pull: 21-50 pounds. Reach above shoulder, outward, squat or kneel.

Work Environment
Low to moderate noise. Rare exposure to fumes or airborne particles or toxic or caustic chemicals.

Compensation and Benefits
For this position, the expected base pay range is – Hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
