Position Summary
The Communications Assistant will support the North Carolina Botanical Garden, which includes public display gardens, community gardens, natural areas, educational programming, therapeutic horticulture, scientific research, and fundraising.
The Assistant will support the Garden’s communications work by creating graphics, assisting with social media and website updates, creating flyers, signage, and other print and digital publications, writing articles and other content, and helping with photography, including events, garden scenes, and specific plants.
This position involves driving; a driving record check will be conducted as part of the hiring process.
Minimum Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Management Preferences
Experience creating social media posts and assets.
Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
Photography skills.
Proficient with graphic design and journalism.
