Position Overview:RecruitWell is seeking a Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist for a locum tenens opportunity in Portsmouth, Ohio. This is a clinic and weekday call coverage role within a busy, well-established cardiovascular program offering strong support and consistent volumes.
Assignment Details- Coverage Dates:
- June 15-19, 22-26
- July 13-17, 20-24
- August 10-14, 17-21
- Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Start day with cardiovascular testing review
- Call:
- Weekday call only
- No weekend call
- 30-minute response time required
- Setting: Clinic + hospital-based cardiology services
- Facility Size: 110 beds
- EMR: MediTech
- Provide non-invasive cardiology care in clinic and inpatient settings
- Supervise and interpret cardiovascular diagnostic testing
- Share patient load with an independent Nurse Practitioner
- Perform and interpret specialized cardiac procedures
- Participate in weekday call coverage
- Manage admissions and consults as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in MediTech
- Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
- Tilt Table Testing
- Conscious Sedation
- Stress testing interpretation and supervision
Average Daily Volumes (Supervision & Interpretation):
- Stress Tests: 15-20
- Stress Echo / Dobutamine Stress Echo: 1
- Tilt Table Tests: 1
- EKGs: 75
- Echocardiograms: 15-20
- TEE: 1-2
- Collaborative environment with independent NP support
- High-volume, efficient cardiovascular testing lab
- Well-structured workflow with consistent daily schedule
- Mix of assigned and unassigned patients
- Board Certified in Cardiology - Required
- Fellowship Trained - Required
- Active Ohio License - Required
- IMLC accepted
- ACLS & BLS - Required
- Strong experience in non-invasive cardiology and diagnostic interpretation
