• Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,830 - $8,090
• Location: Lima, OH 45801 (Lima, Ohio)
• Setting: Outpatient Cancer Center at a Level II Trauma Center
• Assignment Dates: September 1, 2026 - December 1, 2026
• Shift: Monday - Wednesday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Hours per Week: 40
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric (medical oncology / hematology)
• Average Outpatient Census: 13 patients/day
• Average Hospital Census (Call/Rounding): 2 patients/day
• On-Call / Weekend Requirements: No on-call or weekend requirements

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology (required)
• Active Ohio medical license preferred (must obtain if not currently licensed)
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• Clean background and ability to pass credentialing (required)
• Self-Query NPDB report required at time of presentation
• Availability for the full assignment period (required)
• Minimum 1 year of hematology/oncology clinical experience (outpatient infusion/clinic experience preferred)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient hematology/oncology care to adult and geriatric patients (medical oncology and hematology cases)
• Evaluate patients, order and interpret labs and imaging, and prescribe systemic therapies
• Manage chemotherapy orders and collaborate closely with nurse oncologists during infusion
• Participate in tumor board discussions and multidisciplinary care planning
• Coordinate care with one other physician and one advanced practice provider (APP)
• Document encounters and orders using EPIC EMR
• Provide hospital rounding for a small inpatient census as needed during the assignment
