Job Description Summary
Road Mechanic / Technician
We are seeking a Road Mechanic who will perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of equipment—including aerial work platforms, general construction tools, large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil/gas equipment—to ensure the safest and most effective operation and to minimize downtime.
Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment in challenging remote locations.
Diagnose equipment problems and conduct repairs to reduce downtime.
Develop new skills toward a career track in service or operation management.
Work with a safety-focused team to complete tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired.
3–5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (large‑scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil & gas equipment) strongly preferred.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record; a CDL license may be required in some locations.
Ability to use hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting fundamentals and flexibility in changing priorities.
Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.
Physical Demands
Required bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting of 50 pounds or more. Work may occur indoors or outdoors.
Base Pay Range
$22.85 – $31.41 per hour, depending on position, location, education, training, and experience.
