About The Job
The Tax intern will be responsible for assisting the U.S. income tax compliance team and gain valuable hands-on experience in the tax field. This is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting, supporting a range of tax and accounting activities for Yum! Brands.
You will be required to attend the Louisville, KY office three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday).
Salary Range
Hourly pay is $20.00 - $28.00 (based on year in school). This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist with federal, state and local income tax notice responses.
Assist with gathering tax return information to support third party service providers.
Prepare federal and state quarterly excise tax returns.
Provide federal and state audit support by gathering tax return and supporting workpaper data.
Minimum Requirements
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with focus in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Candidate looking for longer than 1 year commitment is preferred)
Preferred Qualifications
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated with focus in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Candidate looking for longer than 1 year commitment is preferred)
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP)
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software is a plus
