Role Overview
The Lead Advisor, Change and Culture Communications serves as a senior enterprise communications advisor, leading change communications for Chevron’s most complex, high‑impact transformation efforts, including mergers and acquisitions, enterprise organizational redesigns, AI‑enabled transformation, and large‑scale culture change. This role shapes strategy and advises senior leaders, using compelling, inspiring communications to drive alignment, adoption, and behavior change across the enterprise. This role focuses on enterprise outcomes rather than storytelling or narrative ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead change and culture communications strategies for enterprise‑critical initiatives, including organizational redesigns, mergers and acquisitions, post‑merger integration, and enterprise transformation programs.

Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior leaders, HR leadership, and enterprise initiative sponsors.

Shape enterprise messaging that drives clarity, momentum, and confidence during periods of disruption and change.

Lead communications strategies that support enterprise‑wide culture change, reinforcing behaviors aligned to The Chevron Way, Chevron’s strategy, and operating model.

Anticipate resistance, risk, and misalignment during major transitions and proactively address them through communications.

Guide leader enablement for senior Chevron leaders during large‑scale change.

Ensure disciplined integration across Internal Communications teams and Corporate Affairs partners.

Apply rigorous planning, governance, and measurement to enterprise communications efforts.

Mentor and provide informal leadership to more junior advisors.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Journalism, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.

10–15+ years of experience in enterprise communications, change communications, or strategic advisory roles.

Demonstrated experience leading communications for enterprise‑wide transformation, including mergers and acquisitions.

Proven ability to advise senior leaders, including C‑suite executives, in ambiguous, high‑stakes environments.

Strong executive presence, strategic judgment, and ability to influence without authority.

Deep experience navigating enterprise governance and complex stakeholder environments.

Preferred Qualifications

Master of Business Administration.

Direct experience supporting M&A integration communications.

Experience leading communications for organizational design or operating model transformations.

Experience enabling AI, digital, or innovation‑led change.

Formal training or certification in change management or organizational development.

Prior agency experience.

Leveling Intent

Scope: Enterprise‑wide, high‑visibility, multi‑stakeholder initiatives.

Autonomy: High; sets strategy and leads execution.

Influence: Through trusted advisory relationships and enterprise impact.

Relocation Options
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.

International Considerations
Expatriate assignments will not be considered.
