Facility in Dayton, OH seeking ObGyn locums coverage Rates: $350/hr, Holiday rate multiplier applies The hospital in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a Board Certified OB/GYN to join their nocturnal OB Hospitalist team. This is a high-priority, part-time locum opportunity providing overnight obstetric coverage in a Level I Trauma Center with strong CNM and physician collaboration. Position Details Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology OB Hospitalist Practice Setting: Inpatient Labor & Delivery Location: Dayton, OH Coverage Type: Part-time locum tenens Reason for Coverage: New position Estimated Shifts per Month: Approximately 14 Schedule Night shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM No GYN call responsibilities (covered by private practices) No traditional call; scheduled overnight coverage Clinical Responsibilities Provide comprehensive obstetric care during overnight shifts, including: OB triage Labor & Delivery Antepartum care Postpartum care Collaborate with Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) onsite Oversee and support CNMs as needed Provide backup OB support to four private practice groups Support nocturnist responsibilities Ensure adherence to patient safety protocols and high-quality care The hospital averages approximately 45 deliveries per month. Practice Environment Level I Trauma Center 1,100-bed hospital APP/CNM coverage available EMR: Epic Physician does not work solo Credentialing Privileges available: Full, Temporary, and Emergency Privileges Estimated credentialing timeframe: approximately 60 days Emergency privileges available Requirements Board Certified in OB/GYN required Active Ohio license required (IMLC not accepted) DEA required CSR license required PALS required Minimum 1 year of experience required Travel and Lodging Travel reimbursement includes airfare, lodging, rental car, mileage, and fuel. Airfare must be standard economy with one checked bag. Lodging capped at $150 per night before taxes and fees at non-preferred hotels; no incidentals permitted. Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rates. Economy rental car unless preapproved.
