Overview
Subcontract Manager for classified Franchise Programs within the Specialized Undersea Systems submarket segment of the Undersea Mission Systems (UMS) Market. This on‑site position, based in Manassas, VA, will manage subcontracts for Engineering Services and materials, support existing programs, and pursue related new business.
Responsibilities
Lead subcontract management efforts and ensure seamless collaboration with subcontractors.
Manage and administer subcontracts to maintain compliance with program requirements and company policies.
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance) to align subcontractor performance.
Develop and implement subcontract management plans, strategies, and procedures to drive program success.
Analyze and resolve subcontract‑related issues, identify improvement opportunities, and implement process enhancements.
Track key performance metrics, including material base.
Provide support to proposal activities.
Travel as necessary to support business needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Experience in Supply Chain, Material Management, or Program Management.
Proposal experience.
Active Secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated technical aptitude.
Earned Value and/or Control Account Management (CAM) experience.
Engineering services subcontract experience.
Proficiency with Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP).
Experience with Procure 2 Pay (P2P).
Risk management experience.
Accountability to commitments.
Results oriented.
Willingness to adapt and learn.
Strong communication, negotiation, presentation, and documentation skills.
Ability to interface with senior management, suppliers, and external personnel requiring coordination across functional organizations.
Clearance
Security Clearance Level: Secret. The position requires a US citizen with a government security clearance.
