The Branchof Natural R eso u rces is seeking applicants aged14to18for the summeryouth crewconsisting of 8 HighSchool students.Applicants must performtasks as part of a workcrew in variouslocationsonthe Warm Springs Reservation andThe Confederated T r ib esof Warm Springs Ceded lands. Applicants should have astrong interest in Natural Resources and the ability to work outdoors inadverse weather conditionsforextendedperiods of time.
Requirements
Goodcommunication and interpersonal skillsalongwiththeability to followdirectives andthe willingness toexplore multi-facets of a workenvironment(indoors& outdoors) are required.Knowledge, awareness, and experience using various hand tools, power, and other landscaping tools/equipmentneeded . Applicants shou ld bein good phy sical condition,able tolift andcarryup to40 lbs., andwalk or hike overvarious t er rain. Must successfully pass a pre-employment walk test(exceptionscan be mad e forpersons withrecognizedordiagnosed med i ca l or physical conditions) in addition to adrug screening prior to hire.Out of area(in state) travelin addition to supervised overnight tripswill be required onoccasion.
