Siemens is seeking a Procurement Pooling Specialist / Strategic Plant Buyer to join our team in Livermore, CA. This role is essential for managing our supplier base, driving cost savings, and ensuring high-quality products are delivered on time. You'll be a key player in optimizing our supply chain and collaborating with internal teams and suppliers to achieve shared success.

Responsibilities
Supplier Relationship Management:
Develop and manage relationships with suppliers for electrical, electronics, and electromechanical products. This includes negotiating pricing, monitoring performance against agreed terms, and onboarding new vendors.
Strategic Sourcing & Optimization:
Optimize company-wide buying power by evaluating supplier performance across financial metrics, quality, pricing, and on-time delivery.
Contractual Agreements:
Develop and build robust contractual agreements to provide price protection and supply security.
Product Specification Review:
Analyze project-specific product specifications to identify alternative supplier materials and drive cost-saving opportunities.
Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, orchestrate quality agreements, and foster continuous improvement initiatives.
Risk Management:
Evaluate supplier capabilities and capacities, implementing plans to ensure a secure and efficient supply chain.
Early Supplier Involvement:
Integrate supplier expertise early in the product development process to optimize quality, manufacturability, and cost.
Procurement Operations:
Execute procurement activities such as eAuctions, RFQs, supplier negotiations, selection, and setup of new suppliers and materials within SAP.
Maintain the integrity of the purchasing database and stay current with industry developments.
Work effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
Location
This position is based in Livermore, California. We strongly encourage local candidates to apply. Relocation assistance is available if eligible.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
Three (3) or more years of experience managing Electromechanical commodities.
Successful track record in partnering with suppliers.
Flexibility with anticipated 10% travel, depending on project assignments and business needs.
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to interact with inter and intra departmental personnel.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated self-starter.

Pay range for this position is $76,898 - $131,825 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
