Job Summary
The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently moving, staging, loading, and unloading pallets of finished goods within the shipping and warehouse areas. This role plays a critical part in maintaining on-time transfers, supporting outbound shipments, and ensuring inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
Load and unload trailers, transfers, and outbound shipments according to shipping schedules.
Move, stage, and rack pallets in designated systematic locations.
Perform daily equipment inspections and always follow safety protocols.
Assist in scanning, labeling, and verifying products as needed to maintain system accuracy.
Support Shipping Supervisors with dock organization and product flow.
Report any damages, shortages, or discrepancies immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications
1+ year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse/distribution environment preferred.
Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Flexibility to work overtime or different shifts as needed.
