Overview
The Garrett Group is seeking a certified Database Administrator to support USSTRATCOM J-7. Applicants should possess a degree and/or an industry-standard certificate/license that demonstrates knowledge, skills, and ability in database administration, along with at least 3 years of experience as a database administrator. The combination of education and experience must showcase core job skills in data modeling and database design, database schema creation and management, general database management, ensuring data integrity and availability, capacity planning, and web-specific technology.

Responsibilities

Execute data modeling and database design activities to support mission requirements.

Create and manage database schemas, objects, and access controls.

Perform general database administration tasks to ensure data integrity, availability, and performance.

Engage in capacity planning and performance tuning for stored data and databases.

Apply web-specific technology expertise where applicable to support systems and applications.

Qualifications

A degree and/or industry-standard certificate/license that demonstrates knowledge, skill, and ability with database administration.

At least 3 years of experience as a database administrator.

Demonstrated skills in data modeling and database design, database schema creation and management, general database management, data integrity, data availability, capacity planning, and web-specific technology expertise.

Other Qualifications

Database design and development (tables, indexes, triggers, stored procedures).

Application architecture experience and Windows/IIS server administration.

JavaScript, C#, VBA, and other languages, including web development in front end, back end, and VBA applications using the Office suite (Excel, Word, Access).

Tableau, Power BI, Sequel, Access, Excel, Visual Basic, and SharePoint visualization and database software.

Other Requirements

Candidates must have a current Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI.
