
Financial Support Associate II

Overview
Avantax Planning Partners, a community within Cetera Holdings, is seeking a Financial Support Associate II to provide advanced administrative and operational support to Financial Planning Consultants (FPCs) while serving as a resource to associates. This role handles a broader range of client service responsibilities, supports process improvement initiatives, and demonstrates strong independence. This will be a hybrid position located at one of our Cetera Hub locations in Kingwood, TX. This role will be working alongside and supporting the Financial Planning Consultant that covers the territory.
What You Will Do
Independently prepare and review new account paperwork.
Create and organize client review materials and correspondence.
Serve as a liaison with internal departments, custodians, CPAs, and clients.
Manage client communication regarding account activity and deadlines.
Process client requests including contributions, distributions, and transfers.
Maintain accurate information and documentation within the CRM.
Assist in training Level I associates.
Recommend workflow and process improvements.
Handle moderately complex client inquiries.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
2–5 years of financial services or administrative experience preferred.
Multi-tasking and organizational coordination are a must.
Salesforce experience strongly needed.
Strong communication, customer service with escalation understanding and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Salesforce, Adobe, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Familiar with opening or processing financial Brokerage accounts is preferred.
Certifications: FPQP designation is a plus; Life & Health Insurance is a plus.
Compensation
The salary range for this role is $27.40/HR – $34.60/HR plus competitive performance-based bonus. Compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. Compensation ranges may differ in differing locations due to cost of labor considerations.
