Understanding and execution of layout methodology from the initial chip plan to tape-out. Collaborate with design teams to meet floor planning, placement, and routing requirements. Ability to debug problems, find effective solutions without any supervision, and negotiate with the design engineering staff. Communicate effectively across functional groups, e.g., TD, design, verification, and CAD. Deliver a test chip, a revision core, or a revision chip independently or lead a layout team. Drive innovation by proactively identifying and flagging issues in how things are built. Address performance problems and find opportunities to improve build and arrangement-related performance. Reduce power consumption. Parasitic modeling extraction and assisting design engineers, reticle experiments, and required tape-out revisions. May telecommute part-time.**Position requirements:*** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.* 12+ years of hands‐on experience in advanced‐node physical design with proven tape‐out success on HBM, dynamic random‐access memory (DRAM), or large memory‐centric designs.* Deep expertise in hierarchical physical design, timing closure, static timing analysis, power integrity, thermal analysis, and physical signoff.* Expert‐level experience with Cadence Innovus and/or Synopsys IC Compiler II (ICC2) or Fusion Compiler, plus power integrity tools such as Voltus or RedHawk.* Experience with foundry signoff flows, including design rule checking and layout versus schematic verification.* DRC and Layout vs. Schematic (LVS) verification* Layout design projects, including planning, scheduling, and layout resource management* Circuit simulations to optimize the layout designAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
