Optical Network Engineer IV

Responsibilities
Design, build and rollout our global DWDM networks;
Create processes that help operate and build our optical network;
Ensure that the optical network adheres to the defined network standards;
Review and implement changes on the optical systems;
Drive operational excellence projects to drive improvements in our DWDM network quality and reliability;
Troubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions day to day on our network.
Job Qualifications
Minimum of 7+ years industry experience;
Experience with optical planning, modelling tools and rollout of large DWDM networks;
In-depth knowledge of and experience with major DWDM platforms (Ciena, Infinera and Cisco);
Candidates should also have had significant past experience with, and expertise in many of the following protocols & technologies: DWDM, T1/DS1, DS3, SONET (OC3, OC48), 802.2/3, 802.1d VLANs/STP, IPv4 & IPv6, TCP (internals & flow control), BGP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, PIMv2, IGMP, LDP, TACACS, IPSEC & VPNs, netflow, DNS, HTTP
