
Instrumentation Technician

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician with a strong background in metal manufacturing to support our operations. This role is responsible for installing, calibrating, maintaining, and repairing electrical, electronic, and pneumatic equipment used to monitor and control automated systems within a metals production environment. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with die casting and shield casting equipment and thrive in a fast‑paced industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
Install, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and control systems used in metal manufacturing processes
Calibrate sensors, transmitters, and control devices to ensure accurate system performance
Diagnose and repair electrical, electronic, and pneumatic equipment failures
Support and maintain automated systems, including PLCs, HMIs, and process control networks
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on instrumentation and control equipment
Work closely with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to minimize downtime
Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and loop diagrams
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company standards
Assist in equipment upgrades, system improvements, and new installations
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED (technical degree or certification preferred)
Proven experience in metal manufacturing environments
Hands‑on experience with die casting and/or shield casting equipment
Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, and pneumatic systems
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and industrial control systems
Ability to read and interpret electrical and instrumentation schematics
Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skillsWillingness to work 12‑hour shifts on a rotating 3‑2‑2 schedule
