Laundry Attendant
LTD Hospitality Group is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team as a Laundry Attendant. As a Laundry Attendant, you would be responsible for maintaining a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
Load articles into washers or dry‑cleaning machines, or direct other workers to perform loading.
Sort and count articles removed from dryers, and fold, wrap, or hang them.
Remove items from washers or dry‑cleaning machines, or direct other workers to do so.
Examine and sort into lots articles to be cleaned, according to color, fabric, dirt content, and cleaning technique required.
Start washers, dry cleaners, driers, or extractors, and turn valves or levers to regulate machine processes and the volume of soap, detergent, water, bleach, starch, and other additives.
Receive and mark articles for laundry or dry cleaning with identifying code numbers or names, using hand or machine markers.
Other duties, projects, and tasks as assigned by the employee’s manager.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs)
Have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures.
Must be able to work in an environment that may be noisy and hot.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Requires excellent attention to detail.
Significant amounts of walking, bending, kneeling and standing.
Being able to lift and push/pull approximately 35 lbs.
Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
