Location: Lawrenceville – 18986 PA-287, Tioga, PA 16946
Responsibilities
Understand and abide by all Company safety rules, regulations, and policies. Ensure that safe and sanitary working conditions are maintained in the facility in accordance with Company standards, as well as state & federal laws and regulations. Know and understand your OSHA rights. Conduct safety training topics as required or needed. Responsible for attending all assigned safety meetings, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. As required, promptly investigate accidents and near misses, completing appropriate reports and taking action to eliminate root causes. Perform testing in Safe and Timely manner to support manufacturing. This position requires the ability to work unsupervised and communicate with other departments.
Primary responsibilities
Working in the Metal Lab; may include any of the listed Quality Functions:
Calibrate and Trouble shoot test equipment
Chemistry evaluations using Metal Spectrometers and CS Meters
Retrieve and Test Sand
Microstructure Evaluations
Brinell Hardness Testing
Mechanical Property Testing
Use of Hand Measuring Tools
Perform basic calibrations of measuring devices (Calipers, Mics, etc.)
Basic computer skills generating and sending test results/reports
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma required. Basic computer knowledge required. Good Communication and Teamwork skills required. Foundry experience preferred. Knowledge of measuring equipment preferred.
