Job Description
Position Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for supervising and coordinating all quality‑related activities at the Chelmsford plant to ensure that products meet internal standards, customer expectations and regulatory requirements. The Quality Manager publishes data and reports regarding company performance against set indicators and is responsible for providing training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality objectives. This individual also leads the quality audit team to ensure that the facility is in full compliance.

Salary:

$100,000–135,000 + bonus + benefits. The range reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all U.S. locations.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities

Demonstrate a safety‑first mindset in all situations.

Provide leadership and direction for achieving quality improvement by interpreting policy, recommending strategies, organizing resources, and assisting leadership in the development and implementation of improvement plans.

Plan and execute quality activities to ensure the plant achieves and maintains successful audit status.

Establish predictive maintenance coordination through product measurement and monitoring.

Maintain and update product and packaging specifications.

Work with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.

Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.

Identify quality‑related training needs and define and document quality procedures.

Set up and maintain controls and documentation.

Collect and analyze performance data against defined parameters.

Ensure that tests and procedures are properly understood, carried out and evaluated and that product modifications are investigated if necessary.

Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards, including food safety.

Manage quality staff and ensure compliance with systems and procedures.

Manage customer complaints and required internal/external communications, documentation, and complete reconciliation of issues; follow up with resolution of root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Work with customer and third‑party auditors to ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with customers' specifications.

Reduce scrap through focused process development.

Candidate Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in science or business and 3–5 years of related work experience; experience in plastics is a plus.

Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Demonstrated computer literacy with knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.

Superior problem‑solving skills and the ability to prioritize, organize and manage time effectively.

Ability to function under pressure and to prioritize numerous tasks with conflicting deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.

Flexibility to work non‑traditional business hours as needed; this facility operates 24/5 with occasional weekend staffing. Quality presence during non‑traditional hours may be required for training, meetings and incident investigations.

Require standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing and occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.

Comfortable working in a typical manufacturing environment with seasonal heat/cold and machine‑related noise and maintenance activities.

Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the task at hand.
