
Industry Specialist MFG, AWS GCR IVT

Job description
In this role, you will include helping to define main MFG industry use cases, assets and solutions, finding strategic partners, assembling cross‑functional engagement teams, and driving business and technical relationships with customers to create significant new line of business pipelines. You will enable the AWS enterprise BD teams to more effectively drive their day‑to‑day interactions with key prospects. You will also work closely with AWS Solutions Architects, AWS Partners and AWS Professional Services teams to develop and promote solutions for target use cases. And you will work closely with the AWS product and services teams to help evolve AWS offerings for more rapid enterprise adoption while addressing issues, concerns, and requests from the field.
Key Job Responsibilities
Strategic Industry Leadership & Market Intelligence: Serve as an important member of the AWS GCR Industry Specialist team in driving AWS marketing, business development, and solution strategy for the manufacturing industry, with expertise on Product Engineering & Services and Smart Manufacturing & Supply Chain; research market and technology trends to identify industry growth opportunities and assist sales teams in developing industry plans; define and maintain the Solution Map (including prioritized Use Cases) that guides annual industry Line of Business (LoB) workload strategy execution.
Sales Enablement & Customer Engagement: Engage with LoB and CxO‑level customers as a subject‑matter expert, helping interpret customer requirements and develop solution architectures; participate in industry marketing events and conferences, supporting AWS industry thought leadership initiatives; provide training and enablement to field teams to improve their effectiveness with key prospects.
Ecosystem Development & Solution Delivery: Define manufacturing industry use cases and solutions while identifying potential strategic partners for collaboration; support partner teams in “design‑in on AWS” initiatives and work with cross‑functional teams to drive customer relationships; collaborate with AWS BDMs, Solutions Architects, Partners, and Professional Services teams to develop and promote solutions.
Thought Leadership & Communication: Create industry‑specific collateral materials including white papers, blogs, and presentations that communicate AWS business value to manufacturing customers; support business reviews with management on progress and barriers; act as a connection point between field teams and industry strategy, marketing, and solutions.
Qualifications
3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
3+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
Bachelor's degree
Experience in setting up and managing a sales pipeline
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in online advertising or high‑tech products/services
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
