Supply Chain Analyst/Buyer
Full Time Indirect Labor Pauls Valley, OK, US
This is a full-time position with the option to work remotely or be based in Wichita Falls.
ROLE SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Analyst / Buyer is responsible for managing day-to-day procurement and supply planning activities to ensure product availability, inventory accuracy, and strong supplier performance. This role requires strong analytical skills, a high level of ownership, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manage supplier relationships to ensure consistent delivery, quality, and service performance
Create and manage purchase orders (POs) within SAP
Monitor open orders and proactively resolve delivery exceptions (late, short, or damaged shipments)
Maintain inventory levels aligned with business needs and target levels
Analyze demand, supply, and inventory data to support informed decision-making
Partner with suppliers on lead times, forecasts, and issue resolution
Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with suppliers and Finance
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Sales, and Planning teams
Identify and implement process improvements within procurement and supply chain operations
Maintain accurate system data, including lead times, pricing, and minimum order quantities (MOQs)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLES
Monitor supplier performance related to quality, delivery, and service
Provide backup support to the Purchasing Manager, including approval of non-exempt timecards and time-off requests
Support junior team members as needed
Resolve supplier disputes and discrepancies to achieve positive outcomes
Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Experience working within an SAP ERP system
Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and manage large datasets
Understanding of key supply chain metrics (e.g., inventory turns, service levels, lead times)
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to remain seated for extended periods of time
Ability to move throughout the facility, including the warehouse, as needed
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field (preferred)
2–5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or planning
Experience managing suppliers and purchase orders
Exposure to inventory management and demand/supply planning concepts
