Process Architect
Reporting to the Lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineer, this position will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and automation potential. This role requires expertise in conducting FMEA, VAVE assessments, facilitating 3P events, and implementing industry standards like ISO9000.
Responsibilities
Lead 3P events and maintain the overall Value Stream Map and Process at a Glance control documents for one or more value streams and NPD projects.
Conduct or lead Process Mapping, FMEA, RIE’S, 9‑Step Problem Solving, Quality Control Plan development, DFM, and initiatives to promote continuous process improvement.
Manage Manufacture Engineering projects, including preparation of detailed project plans with estimated task hours and timelines for development, production, validation, and launch; ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery.
Oversee research and development of new manufacturing equipment, processes, standard operating procedures, and work instructions.
Improve manufacturing processes by reviewing all engineering deliverables for technical accuracy and adherence to engineering standards and project schedules.
Lead projects through detailed plans and execution on innovative change across assigned assets, both equipment upgrades and optimization.
Interact with Design Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure design for manufacturability of new products and participate in design review, acting as a liaison from inception to shipment.
Analyze capital equipment needs for new technologies and business needs; investigate, plan, and implement such capital projects.
Identify new opportunities for process improvement and recommend, plan, and direct installation of new equipment.
Prepare reports, approve expenditures, enforce rules, and deliver engineering presentations as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering field.
8+ years of experience.
Computer proficiency; confident with data analysis programs.
Problem‑solving skills with experience using root cause analysis techniques.
Examples of new product production integration or significant operational improvement projects.
Ability to lead projects from start to finish, on time and within budget.
Preferred Qualifications
Project management and leadership experience.
Six Sigma, Red X, or other problem‑solving certification.
Lean manufacturing certification.
Experience working cross‑functionally with all levels of the organization structure.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
General Office Environment, PC use.
Light lifting (occasional 25 lbs or less).
Stooping.
Standing.
Heavy lifting (frequent 25 lbs+).
Compensation
Typical pay is $98,872 – $128,577 annually. Pay is based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications. This position is eligible for participation in the Quarterly Incentive Pay Program.
