Opportunity:

Physician - Internal Medicine - Cardiology

Job Details:

  • Work Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM with weekday call responsibilities

  • Start each day at 7:00 AM checking in with cardiovascular testing department

  • Supervise and read approximately 15-20 stress tests daily

  • Perform 1 stress echo/dobutamine stress echo per day

  • Conduct 1 tilt table test daily

  • Read approximately 75 EKGs per day

  • Perform 15-20 echocardiograms daily

  • Conduct 1-2 transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) per day

  • See 15-20 patient encounters per shift

  • Share patient load with independent nurse practitioner

  • Must be able to perform TEE, tilt table testing, and conscious sedation

  • Board certification required with minimum 3 years fellowship training

  • ACLS and BLS certifications required

  • Inpatient cardiology, ICU, non-invasive cardiology, echocardiography, TEE, nuclear cardiology, and STEMI experience required

The facility operates 110 beds and maintains a very active cardiovascular testing department with high daily volumes. The organization provides advanced cardiac care services including non-invasive cardiology procedures and maintains modern equipment to support comprehensive cardiovascular diagnostics and patient care.
