Job Title: Business Development Manager, Distribution

Business Unit: Transportation Solutions

Location: Rochester Hills, MI or Lisle, IL

Territory: Western U.S., Canada, and Latin America

Travel: Approximately 40-60%

What You Will Do

Drive demand creation and revenue growth through strategic U.S. distribution partners.

Support the launch and commercialization of new Molex connectors and interconnect products, ensuring strong adoption within the distribution channel.

Develop and execute targeted channel growth initiatives and customer application campaigns in partnership with distributor sales and technical teams.

Engage in technical and application-level discussions to support design-in, product positioning, and downstream demand creation.

Identify and pursue new customer applications and market opportunities within commercial vehicle and transportation electronics.

Deliver live and digital technical and commercial training to distributor field teams to strengthen product knowledge and sales effectiveness.

Develop reusable enablement assets, including digital content, recorded training, and sales tools, to support distributor teams at scale.

Represent Molex at industry trade shows, technical seminars, and distributor events.

Serve as a subject-matter contributor for commercial and nonautomotive transportation applications, providing market insights and customer feedback to internal teams.

Provide market intelligence and competitive insights to product management and marketing teams to support future product development and go-to-market strategies.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

5+ years' experience in business development, channel sales, or distribution management within the connectors, interconnect, or electronic components industry.

Knowledgeable in the commercial vehicle electronics market.

Experience delivering presentations and technical trainings to engineers, distributor sales teams, and customers, with measurable impact on product adoption or sales outcomes.

Proven track record of building and maintaining distributor and customer partnerships, demonstrated by successful channel development, account growth, or market expansion initiatives.

What Will Put You Ahead

Experience working directly with electronics distributors or in distributor-facing roles supporting technical or commercial selling efforts.

Hands-on experience with connectors, cable assemblies, or interconnect solutions, including supporting commercialization, technical training, or product adoption.

Proven track record of identifying market trends or emerging technologies and converting them into new customer applications or distribution opportunities.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on technical experience selling or supporting connector and interconnect solutions in a distribution-led environment.

This role offers the opportunity to operate as a technical growth leader within the distribution ecosystem, helping shape how Molex solutions are positioned, enabled, and adopted across commercial vehicle and transportation markets. It is ideal for candidates who enjoy combining technical credibility, market insight, and channel execution to create lasting impact.

Compensation : For this role, we anticipate paying $130,000 to $155,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
