Duration: 6 Months (Contract-to-Hire Potential)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Day Shift (7:00–4:00 or 7:30–4:30)

Overview
System One is seeking a Procurement Specialist II to support sourcing and procurement execution for medium to high criticality materials, equipment, and subcontract services. This role will support both pre-award (estimating/deal development) and post-award (execution) phases of projects within industrial sectors such as EPC, power, oil & gas, and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead procurement execution for medium to high criticality sourcing events
Develop sourcing strategies, supplier lists, and issue RFP packages
Conduct bidder conferences and coordinate with technical teams
Perform commercial evaluations and lead supplier negotiations
Prepare and present award recommendations
Support contract administration and subcontract management
Scope and negotiate contract changes and amendments
Participate in procurement project teams and weekly meetings
Mentor junior procurement team members and support workload distribution
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Support estimating efforts, including issuing RFIs during deal development
Core Responsibilities
Contract lifecycle management and supplier relationship management
Development of scopes of work and understanding of specifications/drawings
Negotiation strategy development and execution
Monitoring contract compliance and resolving contractual issues
Participation in supplier kick-off and close-out meetings
Supporting project procurement managers and cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of procurement experience within EPC or related industrial industries (power, oil & gas, infrastructure, heavy construction)
High School Diploma or GED
Strong ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
Ability to think proactively and escalated issues appropriately
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
3–7 years of relevant procurement experience
Experience supporting large industrial construction projects
Exposure to multiple industrial sectors
Experience interfacing with engineering teams and external stakeholders
Experience with document workflows (DocuSign, Adobe Sign)
Familiarity with procurement systems (Oracle, PPMS, or similar)
