BlueWorx is hiring a Design Engineer! This international engineering organization is dedicated to optimizing energy efficiency across the global industrial landscape. From next-generation energy production to large-scale data infrastructure, the company’s technology ensures complex systems run cool and efficient.
The R&D unit is currently seeking a skilled Design Engineer with a strong aptitude for physics and a talent for design automation. For professionals who excel at bridging the gap between deep thermodynamic principles and advanced parametric CAD modeling, this role offers a platform to shape the future of industrial sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
The Design Engineer will drive the technical evolution of core product lines, focusing on high-efficiency heat transfer solutions. This position represents a blend of mechanical design, structural analysis, and design automation.
Parametric Design Leadership: Utilizing Autodesk Inventor to its full potential, including the use of iLogic to automate design rules and create adaptive, complex 3D models for manufacturing.
Structural Integrity & Compliance: Performing and validating mechanical strength calculations for pressure-retaining equipment to ensure all designs meet rigorous international safety codes.
Product Lifecycle Management: Overseeing technical data, managing complex Bills of Materials (BOMs), and ensuring documentation accuracy within Autodesk Vault .
Technical Standardization: Developing and maintaining the technical library, including customer-facing specifications, certification blueprints, and standard component references.
Global R&D Collaboration: Partnering with cross-functional innovation teams and manufacturing departments worldwide to optimize assembly processes and implement design upgrades.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate is a methodical engineer who views CAD not merely as a drawing tool, but as a logic-based system. They must possess a clear understanding of the physics behind the metal.
Required Education & Experience
Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Thermodynamics, or an equivalent technical discipline.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years in mechanical design, specifically within heavy industry or product development.
CAD Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Inventor is required.
Automation: Demonstrated experience using iLogic to drive parametric design efficiency is essential.
Domain Knowledge: A strong grasp of Thermodynamics , specifically regarding heat transfer mechanics (experience with plate-based technologies is a distinct advantage).
Regulatory Standards: Familiarity with pressure vessel standards and analytical calculations (e.g., ASME BPVC, EN 13445).
Simulation: Exposure to Finite Element Method (FEM) analysis is considered a strong plus.
The Offer
Engineering Impact: The opportunity to work on tangible machinery that directly supports global decarbonization and energy goals.
Global Network: A position within a supportive, multinational matrix where knowledge sharing is standard practice.
Modern Flexibility: A hybrid work culture that prioritizes output and respects work-life balance.
