Business Development Manager SE ASIA

PEC, an international technology supplier committed to enabling the production of green batteries for a Blue Planet, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Penang, Malaysia. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in establishing large‑scale battery factories in Southeast Asia, working at the intersection of advanced technology, industrial strategy, and sustainability. You will engage with key stakeholders across the battery value chain to drive market adoption, partnerships, and regional growth. Responsibilities

Identify new prospects and develop new revenue streams across Southeast Asia

Develop and expand sales opportunities with existing customers

Conduct on‑site customer visits and deliver technical and commercial presentations

Organize and coordinate product demonstrations for prospective customers

Work closely with the pre‑sales and technical teams to support customer engagements

Support marketing activities and participate in trade shows and industry events

Prepare, present, and negotiate commercial quotations

Secure purchase orders and achieve agreed sales targets

Qualifications
We are looking for a highly motivated and results‑driven professional who meets the following requirements:

Strong technical background; minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales or business development

Existing personal network within the battery industry is a strong advantage

Strong commercial mindset with excellent negotiation skills

Fluent in English (C2); additional regional languages are a plus

Proactive, self‑driven, and able to work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset

Willingness to travel frequently within Southeast Asia
