Engineering Lead

Lake Hope Lodge is seeking candidates for an Engineering Lead responsible for leading the day to day operation of the facility maintenance and shift coverage. This includes cabins, meeting spaces, HVAC, kitchens, laundry and building exterior.
The candidate must have 1 to 2 years hands on supervisory/management experience with preferred 2 year technical training certificate in mechanical equipment repairs, building maintenance or similar. Hospitality industry experience a plus. Must possess a Valid Driver's License.
This is a working manager position with responsibilities to cover shifts, inspections and KOKO (maintenance ticketing system).
Benefits
Salary range of $60,000 - $65,000, depending on experience

Responsibilities
This position requires strong leadership skills and a willingness to work different shifts depending on business needs. Good communication skills are necessary across all departments.
Coordinates and assigns the daily activities of department personnel
Troubleshoots and repairs malfunctions in mechanical or electrical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and other equipment throughout the hotel.
Performs preventative maintenance assignments on a scheduled basis
Supervises maintenance of the building exterior and curb appeal for snow removal, lawn care, painting, and other gardening.
Develop associate skills through training while ensuring safety programs are effective and compliant with corporate standards, OSHA and other regulations.
Strong organizational skills required for maintaining critical spare parts inventory, purchasing supplies for the department and submitting capital planning requests.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Qualifications
Must have 3-5 years maintenance experience, with 1 - 2 years direct maintenance supervisory experience.
Knowledge in HVAC, boilers, electrical, carpentry, dry walling, painting, plumbing, roofing, and landscaping required
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair routine mechanical and electrical malfunctions in hotel systems and equipment.
Must be willing and able to be responsive to complaints about maintenance and be willing and able to “pitch in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Considerable knowledge of mathematical skills necessary to interpret electrical, mechanical and building systems.
Considerable knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems with the ability to analyze their design and intent and performance.
Considerable knowledge of construction and building systems
Physical & Environmental Demands
Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working in assigned area.
Manual dexterity and coordination to perform all job duties including lifting, moving heavy loads, be on feet for long periods of time, etc.
Work in cold & hot temperatures, indoors & outdoors.
Ability to perform duties in confined space and in awkward positions.
Ability to lift and carry items weighing between 20 and 60 pounds per day.
