Overview
A well‑established organization is seeking a
Shipping Specialist
to support daily warehouse and logistics operations. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant outbound shipments. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment according to established procedures
Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, invoices, and customs forms
Coordinate with carriers and freight providers to schedule pickups and ensure on‑time delivery
Inspect outbound shipments for accuracy, quantity, and condition
Update warehouse management systems to reflect inventory movements
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, shipping requirements, and applicable trade laws
Operate warehouse equipment
Communicate with internal teams and external contacts regarding shipment status or issues
Assist with warehouse organization, physical inventory counts, and general clerical tasks as needed
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required
1-3 years of experience in shipping, warehouse, or logistics operations
Proficiency with shipping software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Effective verbal communication and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements
Frequent standing and walking throughout the facility
Occasional bending, kneeling, and reaching
Ability to lift items over 25 pounds
Indoor warehouse environment with exposure to typical warehouse conditions
