Overview
Senior Full-time Hybrid mechanical engineering, CAD, manufacturing role in DACH regions. Mechanical Design Engineers (Maschinenbauingenieure) design mechanical systems, components, and machinery using CAD software, finite element analysis, and design standards for German manufacturing, automotive, and plant engineering sectors. Knowledge of German DIN and EN standards.
Role Responsibilities
Lead the mechanical design of next-generation robotic systems using generative design and AI-driven simulation tools to minimize material waste and maximize energy efficiency.
Ensure design workflows comply with the 2026 EU AI Act requirements.
Impact
Directly responsible for reducing the carbon footprint of our hardware products by 30%.
Team & Reporting
Part of a multidisciplinary 'Squad' including Electronics Engineers, AI Data Scientists, and Sustainability Analysts.
Reports To: Head of Sustainable Engineering.
Working Conditions
Travel Required: 15%.
Standard business hours with flexible core hours.
Qualifications & Skills
CAD tools: CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX.
Experience with finite element analysis and AI-driven simulation tools.
Experience designing for German manufacturing, automotive, and plant engineering sectors.
German DIN and EN standards knowledge.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a laboratory environment for prototype testing.
Occasional lifting of prototype components up to 15kg.
