Position Overview
Join Our Team in the Prepared Foods Division as a Production Supervisor 2nd Shift! You can expect your day to day to include maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This position requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing.

Responsibilities

Build the best team possible: hiring, training, retaining, and counseling on personal and professional issues, and educating the team on benefits, compensation, and company policies. Guide the team in stretches before their shift and rotate workstations throughout the shift.

Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders, ensuring accurate shipments, record keeping, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.

Ensure all workstations on your line are staffed before start-up production.

Ensure all machinery is performing and all workstations have passed USDA inspection.

Promote safety daily as well as through monthly safety meetings.

Oversee various processing operations and work with other supervisors in solving problems.

Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.

Perform other responsibilities as the need arises.

Requirements

Education: High school diploma; additional vocational or college degree preferred.

Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory experience required. Experience in food manufacturing or bakery strongly preferred.

Computer skills: Basic computer skills.

Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Special skills: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills; strong work ethic; ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Travel: Some travel is required, possibly to other facilities or corporate.

Preferred: Knowledge of food industry processes and equipment, understanding of financial indicators/analysis, and experience in budget development/management.
