Responsibilities
Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health invites applications for the position of Business Development Representative/Community Liaison. The foremost responsibility of the position is to contribute to the development and implementation of referral development plans and serve as a liaison to the public, educating referral sources about Kempsville Center for Behavioral Health programs.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

Establish and maintain relationships with customers and create/update customer database.

Gather information and identify customer needs through effective meeting planning, documenting outcomes and next steps.

Uncover customer concerns that would hinder referrals, report concerns to facility and assist in problem solving to remove those obstacles.

Effectively manage time in the field to achieve appointment setting and face‑to‑face contact goals of 50 per week.

Plan, coordinate and implement special functions including workshops, seminars, symposiums, receptions, conferences and open houses to highlight facility resources and programs.

Forward weekly reports and schedules to DBD according to the specified timeframe.

Effectively convey facility program information and benefits to referral sources.

Stay current with facility changes and updates to convey information to referral sources.

Monitor competitors’ activities in geographic and product markets.

Review reports from activities, DBD and from centralized admissions to identify trends and referral activity.

Understand customers’ marketplace and industry related issues and challenges.

Gather market intelligence and share that information with DBD to assist with business development strategies.

Qualifications
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales, clinical studies, psychology, or similar discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience that provides requisite knowledge, skills and abilities.

Experience working in a business development, sales, and/or marketing capacity, for a minimum of one to three years.

Must be able to travel, both within the local and extended region, for business-related meetings and functions as necessary.

Skilled in the use of computer systems and software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).

Must have experience with social media platforms, including updating and managing social media platforms.

Physical Requirements
The physical requirements for this position include being able to stand, squat, kneel, and sit for long periods of time. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. of weight. Must be able to read, write clearly, talk, and listen. Must be 21 years old or older.
