Electrician
The Electrician will oversee the daily operation of the campus electrical power and lighting systems. Under general supervision, install, operate, maintain, alter, troubleshoot and repair electrical power and lighting distribution systems along with a wide variety of industrial electrical equipment. This position requires a high level of technical expertise with a variety of building infrastructure. The individual in this role must be available for on-call work. Off-hours shifts, evening, night and weekend work may be required.
What is your day to day?
Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair facility electrical systems and equipment
Serve as subject matter expert on electrical, life safety, and fire alarm systems
Install, repair, and maintain electrical controls, switching and motor controls
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and building systems
Analyze system operations and determine corrective actions for malfunctions
Troubleshoot and respond to operational and emergency situations
Work with NFPA-70E standards and appropriate Arc Flash PPE
Prioritize work orders (preventive, corrective, and emergent)
Maintain inventory of tools and supplies; submit purchase order requests
Ensure compliance with safety policies and hazardous materials handling
Complete required JLL and client training programs
Desired experience and technical skills
High school diploma
Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Experience with BMS and CMMS systems
Proficiency with basic computer applications (MS Office, Outlook, Work Order Systems)
Ability to operate electric hand tools and required equipment
Physical ability to work in confined spaces, on ladders, and on roofs
Ability to lift and carry heavy loads

Location: On-site at GM facility in Kansas City
Shift: 2nd - Sunday through Thursday
Compensation:$39.92/hr
