General Summary
The Quality Inspector II will work directly with the Quality and Operations Teams to support the rapidly growing manufacturing at React Health. The role involves reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to ensure they meet product requirements. Day‑to‑day duties include measuring objects against their intended physical specifications, identifying defects, running quality tests, and performing other verification activities.
Qualifications
A minimum high school diploma or equivalent is required.
3+ years of experience in Receiving Inspection, using quality control systems and following good manufacturing practices.
Thorough understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Strong ability to use measurement tools and fixtures such as height gauges, calipers, microscopes, gauge blocks, and optical comparators.
Basic computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Strong and reliable work ethic with demonstrated attention to detail.
General mechanical aptitude.
Preferred Education
Two‑year technical degree is a plus.
Preferred Experience
Experience in a medical device environment.
Experience programming and operating a CMM.
Certification(s) related to GD&T, CMM operation/programming, or IPC certification.
Physical Demands
Requires normal visual acuity and hearing.
Employees typically sit comfortably while doing their work, interspersed by brief periods of standing, walking, bending, carrying papers and books, and extensive periods requiring the use of computer terminals to accomplish work objectives.
Required to sit and use hands and fingers to handle or feel and manipulate keys on a keyboard.
Additional skills may be required to perform additional tasks specific to work location, department, or line of business.
Working Conditions
Predominantly operates in an office environment. Some work (less than 15%) requires moving and lifting of materials.
Requires the ability to drive to and from site locations.
This is an onsite role.
Duties And Essential Functions
Performs dimensional and visual inspections of precision mechanical and electronic components for production and R&D.
Utilizes appropriate measurement tools for tasks assigned.
Generates clear and accurate records of inspection for production and R&D.
Performs sub‑assembly verification, labeling verification, and finished product acceptance activities of production material as needed.
Supports a cross‑functional engineering team to identify and troubleshoot nonconforming material.
Develops inspection methods, fixturing and CMM programs for components to be inspected.
Attends and participates in department meetings, seminars, and training sessions to maintain/develop certifications.
Demonstrates professional competence in the workplace.
Attends all meetings, in‑services training, or continuing education as delegated by the supervisor.
Provides customer focused interactions.
Performs all duties required per department policies and procedures.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as delegated by the supervisor within the scope of practice and the responsibilities in the department.
